Waynetown March 31 - One of Montgomery County's most highly respecteed citizens passed away Friday night when "Squire" Ben T. Gray of this place was claimed by blood poisoning. The aged man's death occurred at 6 o'clock.  Squire Gray was 70 years of age at his death and this face no doubt hampere dhis fight for life. Last fall he was forced to undergo an operation at Culver Union Hospital and while the operation was in itself successful, blood poisoning set in two weeks ago. Since that time, the decline had been rapid. Squire Gray was born on the old Gray homestead four miles from here, hist parents, Stanford and Mary Gray being pioneers of Indiana. He lived in this community continuously since, and his kindness and the bigness of his heart won the esteem of all his fellow townsmen. For a number of years he had been Justice of the Peace and had been active as a member of the Baptist Church.  He was also a Knights of Pythias and a prominent member of the Horse Thief Detective Association.  The widow, Mrs. Arrilla Gray and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Grennard, survive besides three brothers, Ellis and James of this town and Stanford P of Covington and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder of Crawfordsville. Funeral services are to be held on Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Baptist Church with burial in the cemetery at Waynetown - kbz
